CLOT's CHINESES Capsule Bridges the Gap Between East and West

CLOT's CHINESES Capsule Bridges the Gap Between East and West

CLOT makes its next stop at Guangzhou for their upcoming CHINESES pop-up event, presenting a brand-new collection of contemporary Chinese-centric designs. The CHINESES capsule was partially inspired by the brand's Chinese roots and aims to bridge the gap between the East and the West, representing the spirit of Chinese youth around the world.

"We believe that we're currently in the midst of ushering in a new era where Chinese designers, musicians and artists are heralding a new era of not just Chinese culture, but culture worldwide. Hoping to be a symbol of this movement, CHINESES represents our belief that Chinese youth are the future for the world."

This mission is further emphasized through the running themes in the latest collection such as mixing traditional Chinese and cultural elements with principles of modern design. The capsule's new graphics and designs embody the essence of 'Hua Ren' (華人/华人), a running theme in the latest collection that denotes pride in their Chinese heritage and culture - the word is a throwback to an ancient term that describes all Chinese people who are the descendants of the ancient civilization of China.

The new collection boldy features an embroidered dragon design, Taichi graphics, Chinese characters and traditional Chinese decorative motifs, infusing history and culture on ready-to-wear Summer garments. The capsule now includes new accessories such as tote bags, shoulder bags and socks.

Following the successful pop-up at Shanghai’s Xintiandi, the next CHINESES pop-up in Guangzhou is inspired by the Ming and Qing dynasties. The pop-up pays homage to the brand's Chinese roots and history, featuring traditional Chinese furniture and decor which includes an exclusive set of CLOT furniture, Chinese-style wooden armchairs and stools that are available for pre-order at the pop-up store. Additionally, there will be a very limited run of the CLOT x Nikelab Air Max 97 Haven SP at the shop.

For the launch, there will be an opening party on May 24 from 6-9 PM. CLOT co-founder Kevin Poon will be there to meet fans. In addition to the CHINESES collection and CLOT x Nikelab Air Max 97 Haven SP, there will be a limited amount of Chinese style name stamps engraved with the CLOT logos. The first 150 customers who purchase an item will be able to add this exclusive collector’s piece to their purchase and have it customized with their own name.

Join us for an immersive pop-up experience in Guangzhou where you will have a chance to view and shop the eclectic range of designs. See you there!
